Trident 3 AWZS - Homeward Bound?

Post by DaveB »

Hi Guy's..

We have a recently acquired T3 (AWZS) off station in KJFK. If one of you would like to bring it home for Christmas.. please post your name below. There's only one so it's first come, first served I'm afraid ;-)

No routing currently exists so be prepared to plan from KJFK to KEF where it joins the BEA/BA network :)

Hi Simon

Well.. as you're stuck at KJFK after a duff Argo flight, then you'll certainly be home a bit faster in the T3  OK mate.. consider the flight yours.

Let me know how you want to get to KEF and I'll upload the plans for you. KEF-EGLL is already in the system as a scheduled flight so no worries there ;-)

Have fun

That's fine Dave.

I thought it might be prudent to stage via Gander if that is okay.

That will be great. I was not sureof the range of the three and I seem to remember a post about it being a struggle to get to Cyprus from UK, so I thought I would be careful.

Hi Simon :)

OK mate.. I'll nip over and log those for you now ;-) You can still get fair range out of the T3 but it's at the expense of payload and you need to make good money to pay for gas. KJFK isn't too bad and KEF is good but Canada is a bit pricey  Will post flight details here when they're up ;-)

EDIT..
OK.. here we go.
Distance/fuel calcs added for reference only and do NOT include startup/taxi/hold/diversion ;-)
Leg 1: CBFFT1 KJFK-CYQX 0800-1015 / 965nm/867kg/FL320/M.85 ticket value $146
Leg 2: CBFFT2 CYQX-BIKF 1100-1400 / 1368nm/11800kg/FL320/M.85 ticket value $179

Thanks for that. I'll load up maximum fuel at JFK and skimp on load and then try not to buy too much at Gander.
