Skysim site

Post by Brian Franklin »

Guys,

I have to report that we at Skysim are having the odd problem with our site. In preparation for the Hawk release on Tuesday we found that the activation module was not active on the current server and actually could not be made live owing to the server type. This was an oversight for which we apologize. The site is currently being moved to a new and dedicated server at this time. Whilst we hope that the internet replication will be complete by Tuesday morning we cannot guarantee this and tests will have to be run in order to safeguard your purchase details.

Therefore it is extremely unlikely that the site will be available at all today (Monday 30th June) and we will endeavour to keep you updated with progress on this matter.

Once again apologies for this inconvenience

Hi guys, after an extremely trying day I'm going to have admit a temporary defeat on this one. The site will be back in the early hours of tomorrow morning but that will not be in time for us to test the system and then be ready for a Hawk release the same day.

It is therefore with reluctance that I have to announce that the Hawk will not be released as planned on Tuesday 1 July but will be released within the next few days as the new site stabilises. Please accept Skysim's sincere apologies. Rick has produced a fine aircraft for you all, but on this occasion our distribution system has let us down.

Guys, owing to the recent server migration (which is nearly complete) the address has changed to http://www.skysim.co.uk

Yes it looks as though you're correct, however the DNS replication of the original site name http://www.skysim.co.uk has now completed, so that is useable as well. Please note however that whilst we have the site back the shop is still offline.... (ouch!)
