I completely forgot yesterday was the anniversary of the Allied D-Day invasion, until I saw this link posted in a forum over at the Outhouse.
http://www.archive.org/details/Complete ... _Day_D-Day
It's an archive of original CBS radio broadcasts from that fateful day. Makes for some fascinating listening. May God bless all the men who fought so bravely that day...and those who never got the chance to grow old.

1944 - D-Day + 64years.
I made the trip to a relatively local village of some historical note to mark the occasion, having been home to a legendary unit just before the invasion.

I'm going to chalk up that rather embarrasing math error to my lack of morning coffee. Indeed....D-Day plus 64. I knew it was '44, but the defective calculator in my head was telling me 68 years. Shows me right for listening to my head. :doho:
Thanks, Charlie.
