Cambrian had an even shorter flight with the Viscounts when the early evening Heathrow to Liverpool flight used to stop at Hawarden en route - I used to get off at Hawarden most of the time as it was easier for me although sometimes I went on to EGGP . It's about 7 NM from Hawarden to Liverpool , and took about 3 minutes if the wind was easterly and one could go directly into EGGP. I think this flight lapsed about 1970 when the 1-11s started to be introduced
