I was fortunate enough to see him fly that routine in 1971 at Alton Illnois - I still have the program somewhere with his autograph on it .
I also was lucky enough to hear he and Yeager speak at the The thearte in the Woods at Oshkosh twenty years later - personally I find him more
entertaining and less of an ego than Yeager. BTW anyone notice the tanks venting fuel as he went negative with the Commander?
Oh yes the show at Alton - besides having the first T6 races I ever saw also had a display by the late Duane Cole in a clipwing Taylorcraft BC12D
