New Graphics card...

Post by Techy111 »

Hi all....little problem i need help with....?

Got my New ATI 3870 X2 card but run into a little problem...?

My native settings for my monitor are 1680 X 1050 HDMI monitor....

But in the desktop settings the choice i am getting at the top end are 1440 X 900 or 1600 X 1200.......?

No option for my native setting...?

Makes the screen look funny...!

Anyone have any ideas how to get my proper resolution to work...?

Hi Mate. 1680 x 1050 is a widescreen format size (obviously) but it sounds like the ATI drivers are only giving you 4/3 format options.

Could it be that the new Graphics card is running a newer version of HDMI than the Monitor? This may explain why the graphics card isn't detecting the settings from the monitor.
