Fs9 Odd Textures...for me too

Hello,
As most of you by now have realised, I am now in receipt of a new PC (Intel Dual Core P6600 running at 3.3gig with 2gig RAM and a 8800GT graphics card). I've had it for two weeks now and am pleased, but am having a spot of bother with FS9.
My odd texture problem seems to relate to scenery. I'm using the VFR photographic, with VFR Terrain, UK2000 Airports and local autogen (trees etc). At first everything was fine, but for the last couple of days, I've been having big big problems.
For example, the other night I flew from Yeovilton in Rick Piper's Foxbat to Exeter via Dunkeswell. Upon leaving Yeovilton, the airfield buildings and runway lost all textures and looked more like a watercolour than what was intended. Everything looked blurred and out of focus....buildings, runway markings etc. Photographic scenery was just void of any detail and was just basic colours. Upon taking off and leaving the vicinity of the airfield everything became normal again and no problems at all were encountered until I reached Dunkeswell. Flying low over the runway to check my homemade AI (a Chipmunk was present), the same thing happened again and back it went to nothing. Leaving the airfield it reverted to the real thing again. Same thing happened at Exeter, but only after landing.
I tried it again tonight this time departing from St Mawgan and lo and behold yet again. Everything washes out and then after flying away, reverts back to normal again.
For the first ten days or so everything was fine. I cant fathom out what is causing the problem and the only thing I have done recently is add my AI. I have deleted the cfg file and created a new one, but its the same story. What am I doing wrong?
I would really appreciate any comments as I havent a clue and I upgraded the PC just for the sim and at the moment its totally unusable. I have other 'software' such as DIRT, Crysis, CoD 2 and 4, Fuel of War etc and these are fine, its just the sim.
Best wishes,
Martin
