fs nav settings
has there been a full list of aircraft setting for fs nav, tried looking and not come up with anything. just want to upgrade my aircraft list for fsnav.

Which aircraft are you looking at Dave?? I've been massaging a couple of late.. the Vanguard in particular and it's now rather more accurate ;-)

Hi Dave, just farting around with fsnav as an auto pilot and needed to have correct or near as details to list within the aircraft section. some aircraft i fly by hand but others are more suited to auto pilot. the details i'am looking for are the argosy, viscount 700/800, vanguard, comet4b ( i usually fly by hand with this one), bac 1-11. that will get me going for now. thks

Hello mate
Copy and paste this into your FSNav ini file for the Vanguard. It assumes a cruise alt of 18300 letting FSNav do most of the work and works a treat ;-) Not sure how good this is gonna be for Canada but for Europe.. the highest thing you're gonna hit are the Alps which have a safety alt of FL183. I've given these settings extensive testing recently and they've proven to be an excellent compromise. I only use these now and rely on what planning figures FSNav spits out for me

climbspeed=180
climbfuel=3550
climbrate=1200
cruisespeed=254
cruisefuel=2470
cruisealtitude=18300
descentspeed=125
descentfuel=1150
descentrate=1300
fuelmeasure=2
revision=3
These do not take into consideration push-back and taxi to hold or diversion but have been tested extensively with both SID and/or STAR active and Nav to Nav. Flights with a duration of less than 1hr or where cruise alt has not been achieved will vary slightly but not enough to worry you unless you're cutting fuel to the bone. I commend these figures to the house

thanks for the info dave, as for canada no great big hill to talk about. just flown to west coast and at 16.000ft go over the pointy bits. the only draw back is the cold recently and now the awful weather comming our way. hence my flights in england. freezing rain and heavy snow, not a good combination to try to fly in. ( active sky ) :o
