Hi Chris

I don't like the JF product as it looks like it's been dipped in green\blue dye everywhere.

but i only tried their demo areas which are good but don't like the greenness that covers it.

the Gen X looks almost perfect with real weather/visibility turned on.

Regards
Rick

Concur most strongly with Rick's comments Chris ;-)

Not sure if the Demo GenX is still available but seek it out if it is then compare it with the JF Demo. Resolution wise.. GenX goes down to 1.2m.. JF VFR doesn't but that's swings and roundabouts. The green/blue hue does it for me but fortunately.. I already have GenX and it WORKS with FSX SP2!! :welldone: Prior to SP2.. it ran like a dog hence me trying the JF VFR demo ;-)

BTW.. the full version is no better either. Lee.. my assistant manager bought it thinking it was GenX so I've seen it at first hand :cpu:

Gen X for me too. I think its superb, and more realistic looking than the JF sceenies I've seen. :)

Hi Chris..

Don't ponder mate.. forget JF VFR ;-) I've no affiliation with either so it's no skin off my nose which one you choose but you WILL be disappointed by the colour of the JF textures. If you've got the Demo's already and you like em.. fork out on a new monitor instead as yours is obviously well effed

Hi Chris

There should be a GenX demo.

the Area is North Wales Snowdonia region.

I think the demo area is also fully custom autogenned with the correct landmarks.

there are even a pair of stranded climbers to find stuck near one of the peaks

Rick
