Abacus EZ-GPS 4

Has anyone tried this? I'm just trying out the demo and I like it very much but I'm wary when it comes to Abacus.

Any opinions? I can't find any reviews - just thinking long-term.

Hmmm, this looks like it may be a decent FSX alternative to FSNav. (I never used the flight planner, I prefer to fly "off the cuff" and I like to be able to read information about navaids and airfields and suchlike on the fly). I'm downloading the demo now to see if it's any good.

Hmmm, looks as though it is an in-sim GPS that you have added to the panel.cfg and call from within the sim.

Yes.

It's like the LSS Palm EFIS but...

- Not as pretty (LSS is GDI vectored)
- Can make a flight plan like default GPS
- Includes autopilot commands

It seems like a nice solution for ultralights or warbirds with no nav equipment.

Well that did nothing other than crash my FS after a minute or so of use. I think further investigation is required.

Looks like it's back to the drawing board for my FSNav alternative though. :'(

I had an earlier version and found it wasn't keen on seeing addon airfields. Sort of did itself out of a job really
