UK 2000 Norwich...word of warning

Post by Viscount Cornbank »

Don't know if this affects anyone else but I get a great big invisible bump when taking off from UK 2000 Norwich on Rwy 27 :o . It appears only noticable in that direction ie moving to the west.

I discovered to my cost that the bump is mirrored on the parallel taxiway, but only again when taxying in after a landing on 09, again travelling west.

The moral is don't turn off the landing lamps at the end of the landing run like I do, because the bump on the taxiway will cost you 5% when the tyres leave the ground:@ :@ :@

Think those light penalties could be adjusted to give a margin of error for things like this, let's face it you'd still have feck all time to turn them on at 15 ft aal if you forgot on takeoff.

cheers
