Jonesey - Gaydon have one of three prototype SD1 estates in the museum itself but noone brought one with them sadly!
Kevin - thanks! I am after a Spitfire myself now. Coventry transport museum have one that is just perfect, if only someone would give me the keys
As far as the foreign-reg'd MG goes, I really dont have a clue, by the style it looks late 20s / early 30s? Half expect Al Capone's British counterpart to be driving it :tab:

Now thats right up my street...Shame there wasn't a Dolly Sprint...Fastest production Saloon car from Dec '72 until the Lotus Carlton believe it or not.
I'm sure there is some footage of the two Bastos SD1 BTCC cars on http://www.austin-rover.co.uk, the guy who has them, has them in pristeen condition. Love the old Triumph 2500 PI's too.... I could fill a hanger with cars!
Surprised there was no mini's

Ben.

The P4 looks lovely, a proper Rover, only bettered by the P5. And the 1100 (1300?) on the stand further up brings back memories.
I was never a big fan of the Spitfire myself, mind you the Stag next to it looks rather nice.
I can't understand why the two people looking at the Austin Agro aren't laughing their heads off?
And isn't it a treasonable offence to go to an event like that and not take piccies of the Mini's? "Tipping down" is the ideal time to photograph them, at least you know they won't be driving away while you try to take the picture!!
