Repainting modern airliners.... unpainted wings?

Just a quick one, am I right in thinking most modern airliners have unpainted wings no matter how loud the livery on the tail/fuselage is? I can't seem to find any examples of painted wings on airliners.net.

The leading edges and flying surfaces are left unpainted....in the case of the flying surfaces paint upsets the balance.

The main body of the wing has a protective skin which again remains unpainted.

So as far as I am away wings are not painted on modern airliners.

Thanks for confirming that Garry, the repaints I'm doing are for a VA and they are rather garish and loud, and I was just exploring the plausibility of painting the wings as well.

Edit : The dead sparrows and Concorde look rather swish
