John,
Have you got a closer shot of the Spanish LPD? It looks like the Galicia in which case it's identical to the Bay class except with a hangar because we were trying to save money. Obviously not building them in Gordon Browns backyard at twice the original cost would have been a better idea.....

Yep it's the Galicia... I hadn't thought how much she looked like 'Largs' or one of the others! Doah!
Kind regards

Hi John..
Yeh.. I have the 'Fearless' lookalike. She's ok until you look from the side and the staks are inline where those on Fearless and Intrepid were staggered. That yankee oiler isn't a bad looker either ;-)

No, strictly speaking models and scenery objects are a one way compile, i.e. meaning they shouldn't be deconstructed as it opens up all sorts of copyright issues. That said, obviously things like afcads (or AFX in FSX) can be opened and edited.
Even AFCADS that are someone else's work should not be editied AND then uploaded without permission. As a practical matter I think it would be difficult for anyone to raise a copyright issue over an altered AFCAD.
Which makes me wonder if you do decompile a model or scenery and alter it for your own use only (no uploads and obviously no commercial gain) is that really a violation? I confess to altering some scenery that was designed for FS2002 for my own use in FS2004 - I basically removed some objects because they were messing up the AFCAD for the airport involved, and then recompiled the scenery files. I thought about uploading the AFCAD and revised scenery as an FS2004 package and tried to contact the author for permission but did not get a response, so the package was never uploaded.
Further, if I buy, for example, some electronic equipment, that has a copyrighted design and opened it up and re-engineered it by changing some parts, stictly for my own use - is that a violation? Of course if
I really did that, the inevitable result would be :fart: HELP

It's ok... everything here is just 'placed' nothing decomplied or recompiled. And it'll never leave my hard drive. Thanks for the information chaps.
Kind regards

get 'Traffic Tools' by Lee Swordy,(at most of the usual places) and a little front-end program
for it called 'Y-route' from here ---->
http://www.spacejock.com/yRoute.html
which takes the effort out of editing individual routes and have a tinker

After a total brain failure on my part or was it a mad 30 seconds on the part of my computer?... I've had to rebuild the whole Pompey/Thorney set up. The only thing I can't find is my old copy of DGs Hermes off the IOW, can anyone help?
Thanks in advance
John
