Okey doh.. this is taxing my brain as I'm trying to watch 'The Assassins' too :lol:

Here's what I have from BA.. it's history, aircraft and liveries..
TVD.. 9/78.. Lse in BA c/s. Ret Transavia 6/79
TVE.. 10/78.. Lse in BA c/s. Ret Transavia 3/80
TVH.. 11/78.. Lse in Transavia c/s with 'BA on lease' titles. Painted BA c/s 2/79. Ret Transavia 3/80
TVI.. 11/77.. Lse in Transavia c/s with BA stickers. Ret 8/78. Lse again, full BA c/s, 1/79-3/80

I can't guarantee the accuracy of the books content as I've already found a blinding (for me anyway) slip. When BA acquired Brymon and thus, the Dash7 fleet.. it says that this was BA's first 4-engined prop airliner since the Viscount. Where, I hear you say, was the Vanguard which was still extant as an airliner through and just beyond the 'official' merger 1/4/74. A presumption by the author that Vanguards were all Merchantman spec with BA me thinks! OK.. BA's last Vanguard pax flight was Jun 74 but it was still in service with BA ;)

Re the Four engined.he might have meant since the Viscount had left the fleet they hadn't been a four engined prop with BA....but I see what you mean :)

Britannia pilots originally referred to the as "The all American Aluminum pursuit ship -- said with a Texas Drawl -- Never remember wether it was Roy McD or Derek D that originally named them that.


the SCUD nickname came much later.

I've found the download I'm currently using and it came from Allnodes.. filename is 732km_pa.zip. It is Ken Mitchell's 732 panel plus Erick's model and UAL paint. Importantly.. this one comes with a revised airfile and cfg which it says must be used otherwise the gauges won't read correctly. I also found that NOT using these files caused the wing's to be visible from either left or right FD view no matter which panel was used.. including Kens! 8)
The Ken Mitchell panel is much easier to use though less accurate and more difficult to read with the smaller instruments. By comparison, the Tinmouse panel is far superior in every way but it doesn't have A/T. I use Ken's panel because of this ;) Modelwise.. there's no doubting the Tinmouse model is good but I find the FD 'flighty'. Also.. the selection of paints done by Ben Hartmann for the 732 are our VA fleet paints and all fit Erick's model. You guessed it.. I use Erick's model ;) The fact it's a beta doesn't and shouldn't really detract from using it but at the end of the day.. it's all down to personal preference ;)

Dave... I think it was with Jon Murnighan or Jan who came up with a handbook from both the Flight Director and the Autopilot on the Tinmouse
We have it somewhere in the VA library at the Pond if you want it.

And I seem to remember there is a spot you can touch on the panel somewhere to get A/T for the Tinmouse.
