Great pics , big question is though, how did you manage to get the WS wipers & the blade & Tailfold working in FSX ?

I want to use it in FSX. Any chance of sharing the Autohover fix with us here?

I think Dennis means he can use the DoorControl program to asign to the Wing-Fold and Tailhook commands. Also check the Control Options in FSX and see if you can assign wingFold and Tailhook to joystick buttons. I use Acceleration so should at least have a default Tailhook setting in there.

Hi-de-hi chaps..

I've just tried it in FSX and it's not happening for me either.. despite having the door control gauge installed (v3 as in the shot Dennis posted above). Tailhook was already assigned to T and Wingfold to W but that doesn't work. I've tried assigning a joystick button to one or t'other and he no wanna play

I didn't have to do anything at all to make it work. It just did!!

If anybody can point me in the right direction, I'll check my model against yours. I don't have a clue where the functions are hiding. I'm just a button pusher!!

There was a lot of discussion about this aircraft over on visual flight forums, because some of us had things that others didn't have. It might be worth searching there.

I downloaded mine a long time ago, direct from Simshed.

Could it be something in the ACCEL install?? I seem to remember it asking if I wanted to use a new keymap in order to use all the new functions but I can't remember if I said yes or no I presume I said no because the last time I said yes to anything (CombatFS 2 or 3) I couldn't get anything to work

EDIT.. it was already there as was/is the tailhook entry

I've just had a look in the aircraft cfg. Down near the bottom, I have a section that reads

[folding_wings]
wing_fold_system_type=4
fold_rates= 0.10,0.18

I guess this has some relevance.

I'll have a look for the hover control panel.

Tks Dennis. My copy is likely to be an old beta rather than a release but I can't say for sure. I'll see if I have that section

EDIT#2.. don't ask me why but the edit I made appeared in the post above.. not this one. Is there any wonder I can't get it to work!

Hmm..

Annoyingly (to some degree) I dug out both the FSX Wyvern and Sea Vixen.. both of which have tailhook and wingfold functions and both perform perfectly using T and W In all honesty, it doesn't bother me much that these don't work on the Wessex.. I just don't like being beaten by a computer. You think I'd be used to it by now!

Hover control is by Arne Bartels. I downloaded it with another Helo that I then deleted. The gauge stayed in the gauges folder, and was picked up by the Wessex.

I also can fold both the rotors and tail (in FSX) by just selecting Shift + F. I strongly suspect that the reason some can, and some can't, depends on which version of FSX you are running. I use, by choice, FSX SP1. I'd bet that a survey of those that can't get their Wessex to fold would find that they are either using FSX SP2 or Acceleration.

Any help in being able to locate the Hover Control by Arne Bartels would be most appreciated.
