I used to be an optimist but with age I am now a grumpy old pessimist.

Re: Advice on Anti-Virus Programmes
Yes, my wife and I both use Avast and it really is excellent...It is so excellent that I have paid for mine but Nica uses the freeware version. I used it for years before paying, but felt that it was so excellent that I wished to support it. The best thing I ever did was to rid our machines of the Norton and McAfee bloatware :flying:nigelb wrote:Yes, I believe PeterM does use Avast, as do I. I have been very happy with it and the price is certainly right.DaveB wrote:Nigel..
I constantly hear very good things about NOD32 as well as Kaspersky. PeterM uses a freeware AV.. the name of which escapes me at the mo and he speaks very highly of it. Hopefully, he'll pop onto the thread and remind us all of what it is :brick: Is it Avast I wonder

I got their Internet Security Suite (i.e. Anti Virus and Firewall) with a three computer license from the website, I think it was in a drop down list when you selected the license payment option. I'm guessing it may not be apparent until you buy it.How many PC's does Kaspersky cover??
