Going back to the MG in Toby's original pics, it turns out to be a very special one-off Mg SA from 1937, known as the Airy Coupe, built for a Dr William Airy of Melbourne , by Martin and King , a coachbuilders in Australia , and still registered in Australia

that Rover looks rather special too - there were a number of specials called Marauders built on R 75 chassis, but that doesn't look like one

you will gather I'm a bit of a car nut - I have 7 of them!

Great pics, one of the saddest days in my life was when I had to sell my lovely Cortina 1600E a few days before I was emigrating to Canada, to see her drive away ........gut wrenching.
