Ah.. 7L.. the very one :welldone: I gather from previous posts this is no longer available though.. nor the Sea Hurricane for that matter :(

Re cat/trap settings for the AS Swordfish.. it doesn't need em mate. Even with no wind across the deck, it'll land and takeoff unassisted. The AS model already has a tailhook (that version is Ark Royal 1941) though I'm already so slow by that point.. I don't think it's ever been needed :)

EDIT..
hmm.. I found the 'X' copy of 7L over at Simviation and mine has clear wheels and a see-thru VC. I guess whoever compiled it didn't add all the textures :worried:

I will have to install the Ark Royal today and see what it is like. Looks good from the screenshots I have seen so far.

DaveB, the AH hurricane pack is availiable and has loads of models in it, I weeded out all but the Sea Hurricanes also found a Robert Sanderson Sea Hurricane pack repacked by our old friends Nor Cal, I had Roberts Sea hurricane before and dropped it due to some texture problems around the cockpit in spot view ie a rflective square around it however I am downloading the Nor Cal offering to see if it is the same

DaveB, just been looking at my origional AH Seahurricane download, if you have the origional and like me you get the installer to instal into a folder rather than Fs it extracts maybe 4 folders, one for the aircraft, one gauges and a lone texture folder, that is where the wheels VC etc reside and in the normal install those textures would end up in the main Fs texture folder to be picked up by the different models.

What I have done is rename that lone texture folder to sharedtexture and put it in the main AH Hurricane folder and put a texture.cfg file into each of the texture folders like this, make a new text document and copy paste this into it and rename the new text doc to texture.cfg that should fix your missing bits

[fltsim]

fallback.1=..\sharedtexture
fallback.2=..\..\..\..\Scenery\Global\texture
fallback.3=..\..\..\..\..\..\Scenery\Global\texture

The Norcal offering is the Robert Sanderson Sea Hurricane repackaged and it still has the texture problem around the cockpit area, it also has a 7L texture but because of the texture flaw I stick with the AH model

Hope you can understand my gibberish and you get it fixed

Hi RIch..

Rgr that ;) I now have the missing wheels (courtesy of Patron7 :thumbsup: ) but still see some holes in the VC where he has a full VC. Not sure if it has anything to do with the problem but Patron7 is running SP1 where I'm SP2/ACC *-) I'll try your suggestion anyway ;)

:lol: :lol:

OK Rick.. cheers ;) I don't often VC either but I find certain models are almost impossible to use without one.. a WWII fighter being one such type. I don't really use the VC to read the instruments.. just to see where I'm going :cpu:
