That's is quite simply Dan that the liveries it wore were the contemporary liveries designed to fit the then current aircraft.

I can't imagine any modern livery that would suit the Ten

Agreed Garry though for military use, I reckon the 'all white' scheme with very pale, almost opaque blue cheatline (as worn by the Tristars) would look the doggies danglies.. not that his blairship would want to be seen flying the flag in a 40-year-old aircraft

Indeed Dave

That is a very neutral and not a modern brash designer livery.

It would look quite smart

As for his Tonyness not wanting to fly in a 40 year old aircraft...the age is exactly why he should be.

That could be seen as supporting good old fashioned British quality and workmanship by showing how a 40 year old design can still bei working and holding it's own.

Perhaps even supporting the fact that there has been nothing British to take it's place and there should be

But of course he wouldn't because that would be supporting the back to basics that they are supposed to support and they can't be seen to be actually doing what they promise. :huf:

(My comment was on the fact that I hope he meant the Aircraft Livery, not his own "livery" while flying .....)
