Great shot Dave
I don't know if you know, but there's a repaint available for the Alpha S55 to match the Vic rescue helo. It's over at SimOuthouse if you're interested.

Hi Dave. Look for Whirlwind S-55 Victorious.zip in the SOH downloads.

Cheers Dennis  Though I love SoH.. I do find it a devil to find stuff there sometimes.

EDIT: Got it Dennis and even then it was a fight. Is it just me or do others find the SoH search engine a bit wild?? Never mind.. job done ;)

More friends joined today :)

Got my freshly painted Whirlywind up (after changing the textures to DXT5 and correcting the texture.cfg 8) ) and off she went on a mail run to Culdrose. Intrepid got the drop first followed by Vic and finally Glamorgan.

may as well stay for tea..

At this point, Vic is some 6nm ahead and Intrepid a further 3nm ahead of that. Ark Royal IV isn't far off with Fearless and Glamorgan (again) in tow. Not sure how far though. Got a terrain.dll error last time I tried to find them using RFN4.1 :|

I don't mind anything said in 'good spirit' and look at it this way.. neither of us were in the Army so we have that to be thankful for :

I was... RGBW then rebadged to the RIFLES, albeit TA...I missed two hot and dusty Op Tours, Telic 4 (when my CO decided it was pointless me going on operations as a private soldier when I was due to Commission in 9months and Herrick 7 where my US Visa came through after being headhunted for a job stateside and I left for Los Angeles the same day the Coy left for Afghan. Regret not doing the tours, but then again careful what you wish for I guess.

Love the shots Dave, the Glamorgan looks great, modeled slightly after my old man was on it in 70-71 but great to see such good models of Classoc RN ships in Flight Sim.

A few less detailed one with all 3 in shot, click on them and then click the watermark in the bottom right hand corner for full size.

They all work for me

Fraser.. the DLG is Rick's unfinished model so no proper textures and no radar atop the fwd mast. Darned shame as that double 965 is a work of art as are his FDeck side netting. An unfinished Sea Slug sits in the launcher too  This was how Norfolk looked when I was onboard late 79-81.. this config anyway but with all the bits fitted ;)

I am never one to rush a FS developer, but do hope one day that DLG will be released, I always liked those ships such great lines on them.

All these nautical screen shots are fantastic!
