I had a power cut the other day as I was doing a backup!...The result was that it killed the backup catalogue and I had to delete the backup and do a FULL new backup of my system...The FULL backup took 22.5 hours and then the 620 odd backup files, each of 601MBs took most of yesterday to Defrag!

Have you no UPS system, Peter?
Well worth the cost. The latest UPS have lithium batteries giving longer run times during power outages, and longer serviceability.
Lead type batteries last 2 to 3 years were as lithium last up to 8 or 10.
Lithium of course are more expensive but on the long haul are cheaper. Plus the better units condition the power .
I have a 2 x 1Tb Netgear backup system, but I've never been able to understand the on screen control panel, so I just do a Windows back up and choose Netgear as the destination.
Do the SSDs lose cells quicker when they're full of alcohol, like humans do?
