Hi Gents,

Your right Ian, i must admit i was confused a bit with Dave's post but i thought ,well like me he is getting Old, :hide:

Only joking Dave!

That's the thing Ian after all the years i have flown [in the sim] around the Seattle area i am looking forward to seeing great mountains at last if the PNW Demo is anything to go by,

I must admit that £35 is a bit steep for these addons but considering the area this covers its very cheap at the price, besides i have blamed you for this with the Memsahid! ;)

Cheers,

Roger.

Roger, Roger

Forgive me if you know this already. But you have to uninstall the demo before installing PNW. There's an uninstaller you should download from here

http://fullterrain.com/product_demos.html

Then, when you've installed PNW you need to install service pack 5.0 which is cumulative and includes previous SPs.

http://fullterrain.com/support.html

Then you should download and install the latest ORBX library which will be newer than the one you get with your box.

Scroll down to near the bottom of the support page where you get the service pack.

Next get some freeware airports (I think you have them already, though). Vashon, Westwind, Bowerman and Portland City downtown autogen.

http://fullterrain.com/freeware.html

Then there's the AI which I also think you have. http://fullterrain.com/product_traffic.html

That's about it from ORBX, but Don Grovestine has some nice airports and AI freeware for the Canadian part of PNW. Have a look here: http://stuff4fs.com/open.asp?JS=TRUE

They merge beautifully with PNW.

EDIT: These screenies are of Don's Victoria International airport freeware for PNW and with an option to merge with the ORBX scenery on installation. http://www.cbfsim.co.uk/cbfs_bb/viewtop ... =1&t=24618

Hope this helps but sorry if you already know it!

Ian :)

Off limits for me which is a shame as it was my local small field and I fly out of there a few times. Being so close to London proper my fps resemble postcards so any add on there would drag the PC to its knees. Strange only London and Tokyo do this to my machine, other big cities, NY, Chicago, Van, SF, LA no issues.

G'day Roger :hello: ,
I don't know if they will duplicate what you already have, but you could have a look at OzX.
Despite the name, there's a heap of PNW freeware airports.

Good Evening Mike,

Thanks for the link, my US PNW arrived on Thursday so i will now have some hours flying around those mountains, what i have seen so far is great,

I have only recently had FSX and with this Orbx scenery i must say its like starting FS again because i have not flown low and slow much before, mostly Airliners, so scenery has not really come into it from 30,000 ft!

:OT: I had Track IR a few years back and did not persevere enough with it and sold it, now would be the time to use it of course, Oh well you do these things sometimes and now i am regretting it. I need a touch on our Lottery!! although i think i have as much chance on that as being 21 again

Cheers,

Roger.
