When I drove 'em we called them artics, Class One's, and if it was a rigid with a trailer it was called a drawbar.

Hey you lot! Were you there? Did you see the vehicle I was following along Interstate 90 in Washington State in my Huey? No. Well, I was! And it was definitely a semi trailer. Brian knows ;)

Parts of the good old Road Traffic Act (God bless it ;) ) use semi-trailer. I personally like the phrase "bloody big truck".
