Just a quick update for Peter. ORBX have just released service pack 2 for NZ South Island to complement Milford Sound. I've sent you a PM with a link in case you missed it.

EDIT: just seen this YouTube video of a flight in FTX from Milford Sound to Martin's Bay which is all included in this one add-on scenery. It really is quite amazing - in particular, the natural elements of water, towering rock faces and abundant vegetation. I'm not sure that I'll be able to resist it much longer :worried:

Thanks Ian...I just installed it with the patch first...That video is really impressive...I think I might get the Mossie in and out of Milford Sound but I think I will chicken out of trying it in that St.Martins Bay strip!

EDIT...In FS I last came to Milford Sound in FS2000 on my Pacific Circuit with the MAAM Sim's R4D-6...That seems a very long time ago!

Damned good of you to have it on standby, old boy! Things have been a trifle edgy, I must say :$

The in-laws gifted me fifty of your earth pounds yesterday and with no prior claim to them they're sitting there on the coffee table seductively. 8)

It's not that I don't want it - I haven't got time to use it at least until the end of next week when I've got a long weekend. And then I should be doing all the chores that I didn't do during the last long weekend when I was playing with Bella Coola and Felts Field.

Peter - don't you dare make a video and post it here. I'm not going to look at it if you do! Colin - please stand by!

Ian :)

I've just bought the South Island package today (along with Orcas Island for PNW) as didn't go out tonight and although the rain has stopped, the grass at Compton Abbas is waterlogged thus cancelling their annual Fly-in. Well that's my excuse anyway.

So Milford Sound looks very promising and a possible purchase. Ok, purchase. Probably in February when don't pay any council tax!! :)

Happy New Year to all!!

Martin
