Absolutely brilliant shots! Also made me realise why I haven't bought anything from Alpha in a very long time; they just don't make 'em like they used to. :worried:

Best wishes

I think at one point I had bought every British Alpha model. The TSR-2 was superb.

That's pretty much my story, they were great value and tackled subjects no-one else would

Hi Guys

In all fairness to Alphasim

those days are gone because the audience now has to have a fully funtional VC that matches the real aircraft almost exactly.

I got critisim on my Hawk for Skysim as 6 of the 40 switches didn't do anything and a bad review which still says i didn't model the APU (Hawk T1 has no APU)

you only need one reviewer with the wrong info and your sunk.

People expect perfection with FSX which takes 6 times the hours of what you could build for FS9 back then.

Alphasim produced some superb models at a very reasonable price.
Shame the prices went silly at a time when we hit a dip in available dosh really as they really where on a roll

I hope Phil gets it back together at some point as it was a great source for a long time.
Regards
Rick

Wise words as always Rick. I hope no one thinks it was a dig at Alphasim, just a realisation and sadness, that we'll (probably) never see the like of that sort of output ever again (at least in payware).

Kind regards

John

Hi John

No Mate i know you weren't having a dig as i too miss there relentless releasing of new models too.

I only have a few but still fly them all

Never liked their FDEs but they where easy enough to fix as the visuals etc where always very good quality.
Regards
Rick
