LOL....I know mate.....but i turn the UAC off but still use the Vista Admin rights of passage..... :lol:

Glad your sorted mate...i am off to the local parts shop tomorrow to get Windows XP oem....70 quid...i think it will be dosh well spent.... :doho:

Can't say I blame you..... I will be in the market for a second machine (hopefully) soon - and it's going to be XP.....!

Tony, if you get an XP disc do a google search on slipstreaming XP. It basically lets you build an install cd with all the service packs included which save a serious amount of restarting your computer for updates if you're starting from a vanilla install.
There are some fairly good walkthroughs out there on how to do it and if you reformat and re-install at some point in the future it's worth it's weight in gold (probably around the £277 mark going by current prices).

Most of the new media should have at least SP2 already built in. I know the XP image we use has SP3 build in on the CD ;-)

Im the same as Ben, all my MS Technet disks are slipstreamed ones! Saves the so many reboots and "yes/agree" selections...

On topic, yourll love Windows 7! It has Libaries, and your docs folders... Oh what fun they are...
