I just let it do its thing Tony. Haven't had any problems. Thats on Vista though.

It seems to have a nice improvement on my System...8800GTX.....now very stable with everything on Ultra and 30 FPS with a little dip every now and again....

FSX that is....FS9 is a blast....as always....super stable...

Hi Tony, uninstall your present graphic card then re-boot your computer. After the re-boot I always go to 'C' Drive and delete the graphic driver folder i.e. NVidia Folder before installing the new driver. Late edit: I have XP don't know about the Vista way.

Have tried this new driver and although there does not appear to be any increase in frame rates as Peter previously pointed out, no glitches. Have found that in well built up airports such as Heathrow 9R it appears to give smoother frame-rates as I take-off.

One problem that I have noticed is the anti-alaising. When I used my previous version I unchecked the anti-alaising in FS9 and ran it through the NVidia control panel but now I have to run anti-alaising in FS9.

This is what I got when I turned off the anti-alaising in FS and on in the NVidia control box.



This is off in NVidia and on in FS.



Can any-one advise why I cannot run anti-alaising directly from NVidia anymore as apposed to FS?

Hi Nigel, I don't know, but it looks fine with it on in FS so why worry

Nigel....do you have Nhancer...? Great for Nvidia cards and in this case may solve this problem...?

A little word of warning here. My PC contains 2 folders within the nVidea folder. One (WinXP) contains the nVidea graphics drviers and can be safely deleted. The other (nForceWinXP) contains ethernet, memory and other driviers. This SHOULD NOT be deleted. Therefore do not delete the nVidea folder, but open it and delete the WinXP folder.
After I have deleted the graphics drivers, I run a registry cleaner (CCleaner being my favoured one) before installing the new drivers.

Hi Kevin, in my Nvidia Folder there were only settings from the previous driver remaining did not have folder nForceWinXP in there.

Thanks Tony, will take a browse through that link. Are there any benefits to be found with NHancer?

I hadn't meant it to sound like I was criticising your advice. I just wanted to forewarn others that the nVidea folder may contain other important drivers. The nForceWinXP folder will be dependent on the motherboard.
nHancer, in my view is a 'must have'.

Don't appologise Kev, I just didn't see any folders in my Nvidia Folder. I suppose I could always re-install from the original disc to see if there was one but it was not long ago that I collected my new glasses!!

Hi Nigel, Thats not what Kevin is saying. He also has an NVidia motherboard which also uses files in the same structure. If you don't have other NVidia components then you may be fine, if you do it could prove a bugger. I don't understand this uninstalling before reinstall, I really don't see the need for it.
