Hi Jon..

Well.. DXTBmp will save WITH Mips by default unless you check the box off not to do so :) A Mip is basically a lower res copy of the original which becomes active the further away from the model you get (when the detail of full 32-bit isn't necessary). You can have more than one Mip level or, if you want to maintain high res at all distances, none at all :)

I don't think that's bleedthrough Jon (though I have no first hand knowledge of the 748's texture map). Looks to me like that particular part of the nacelle is sharing a texture with a bit you've painted yellow. Could be WELL wrong though

Jon

I think if you move those stripes forward that "bleed" will clear.

It's not bleed just is catching the back end on the nacelle strip..I think

Give it a go

Aye Garry..

Looking at it with the old specs on, that would seem to be the answer  Good one ;-)

Sorry to bring up such an old thread.

Is the HS748 paint of Air Marshall Islands available for download anywhere?

I'm not sure if he ever finished or released it AD. It's not up at Flightsim.com anyway :dunno:

Thats a shame. Would have been quite nice to have found that and flown the HS748 in the Marshall Islands area.

Get the 748 anyway AD if you don't have it. I'm sure there are representative paints for your part of the world plus.. it's a darned good model ;)

Hi AD,

Not been online for a while, just saw your note. Drop me a PM and I'll send you the files. I did a load of 748 liveries, but gave up trying to release them as Avsim kept giving me zip file errors. :wall:

Rick's 748 is still my favourite FS9 aircraft by a country mile, so much so I'm using the flight model to run a little project that's keeping me out of the pub :guinn: . At least the noisy bits are British :hide:

Cheers
Jon
