Well its gone and done it again.....!!!!! The Vicky was there one minute and gone the next.....Bermuda Triangle...?

Its gone back to the compatibility folder in Vista......?

Anyone know why and how to fix it ?

Dave how do i set up the FSX.Cfg to work the aircraft folder mate?

Hi Techy :)

Make a new folder inside your Simobjects folder called Aircraft.

Locate your FSX.cfg.. its usually in c:\Documents and Settings\NAME\Application Data\Microsoft\FSX.. and look for the [Main] section. First line is
[Main]
User Objects=Airplane, Helicopter

Add this line to the bottom of the section..
SimObjectPaths.6=SimObjects\Aircraft

Save the cfg and that's your lot. When you next use FSX, it'll look in the Aircraft folder for whatever you've got in there and you shouldn't have to f@rt around with any compat issues. I don't have Vista so that may be something unique to the Vista OS but as I've described above works fine in WinXP SP2 ;-) ALL of my non-native FSX aircraft go into this folder (which means it's full and the default is empty!) and doing it this way keeps the two apart :cpu:
