HS748 Problem
Just got the HS748, FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have some questions, I love the view looking out captains window back over the nacelle and wing, I get a squared of/octagon prop arc outline instaed of a smooth circle. On that same view I also have no main gear or gear doors, looks like gear doors are missing. 3rd, I fly it for hors and all of a sudden I get a out of memory error and FS9 shuts down, only happens on the HS748,
On the prop arc and gear, could I be missing any files?

Hiya Rick,
In response to another post regarding GoFlight hardware and the 748, I wound up my flying pc (the one with all the bits fitted) and found the sim runs for about 2 mins then fails to respond (black screen). I checked the 748 version I was running and found it to be beta4!!
So.. off I toddled to CBF and downloaded the release packs and did a fresh install and flightsim STILL runs for a couple of mins at most then stops. Considering I did all the beta testing on that pc, I can't for the life of me understand what the problem is. I've not even used any of the GoFlight stuff and still it stops responding.
I dutifully RTFM (again) and checked the readme files but there's nowt there to suggest what the problem might be. Likewise, there is no mention of N918V's memory leak problem either
Anyway.. this is one for me to sort out though in all honesty, I've no idea where the hell to start. Don't ya just love pc's :k:

Hi Matey
I have no idea what that can be.
Beginning to not want to make any new models as it's getting far too complicated to get compatibility with the infinate number of different setups.
the problems seen to stem from using realism in the way the systems work.
a lot of the gauges etc are linked to eachother which is what seems to cause most of the greif.
i don't know enough about xml programming to find the reason but i think it's an xml problem as there is nothing in the model that is any different
from any of my others.
Although there are 2 people that have bluuring problems with the HS.780
which has no differences to the 748 as far as FS is concerned.
I think i will stick to Chipmunks for now on as there is nothing complicated to cause problems.
Regards

Did Rick do a VC 10 then Dan
Seriously I agree as well
Ricks models do what there say they do.........something is not there or perhaps not working proprerly yet and Rick always says so in the read me
Any glitches I have had have been very few and looking at the instructions tells me what I am doing wrong
All in all, used as intended without adding bits or bringing in other programmes to do thing means RTFM and should be OK
Anything else may just be an unfortunate clash of setups.
