There's already several hundred (maybe better than 1000?) scattered about in North America. In fact, I'm currently working on a tour of them along the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway for TVA. I'd like to see some "across the pond" though.

Float planes are not exactly common in the UK unlike Canada (particularly) and the US (do we have any current on the UK register? G-AIVW was a Tiger Moth floatplane no longer current.)
In Europe, Scandinavia has a fair number of floatplanes.
Most of the UK water bases mentioned above were for the flying boats of yesteryear.

G-OLLS - Cessna 206 that is based at Tarbert on Loch Lomond and flies just about anywhere in Scotland - operated by Loch Lomond Seaplanes.
There is a repaint of it for the Carenado 206 on AVSIM if anyone is interested
