Strangely enough G-ASGK is in heavy need of maintenance....

actually dropped from 98'ish to 94'ish ?????

I cannot see what the problem is...

Hi Dan,

I can't give you any explanation for the jump unless you had a really heavy landing. Now that it's below 95% you may as well bring her home and we'll stick her in the hangar when you get back. The next big jump for increased cost/downtime for maintenance is 75%. Hopefully you won't use that much up bringing her home  . It'll be interesting to see if the failure rate increase at all or whether DaveB still gets everyone elses share of failures :-#

Hey.. don't joke about it. I feel worried flying anything these days whether it's 100% or 96%

Can't imagine what sort of landing would cause a drop of 4 whole points  To give you an example, throw something onto the runway at a little over 800fpm and you'll lose 1 single point (I've not done it myself but I know a man who has) :-$ Odd Dan.. very odd

Must be some sort of misbehaving between my FS an the client...Landing was smooth as ever (wonderful auto land) so the sudden drop alarmed me as well...

although I seem to remember the client said something about -4000 or so fpm ??? anyway I didn't take serious notice of it, at it was so out of the ordinary that I didn't bother.....but such an impact might have done quite a piece of damage...... ;-)

First time I've seen it though...

Hi Dan

yes my rough estimate of -4000 fpm is a 45-50 mph impact.

i don't think anyone would walk away from that :worried:

must be the client as you would remember an impact like that. :dunno:

Regards
Rick

What airport was it Dan... I remember the client giving me a heavy landing (in the early days) when the airport was at altitude and I had't set my altimeter, even though the landing was smooth as a babys bum.

Kuala Lumpur (WMKK).....

Anyway I'm off to EGLL via OPKC - OBBI - HECA - EGLL so it might take a little while before I'm back again....we have holidays next week so that prolongs the flight a bit as well....

Btw, after you have closed the flynet client, is there any way of checking what your decent rate was at touchdown on your last flight? I had a slightly hairy approach on my last flight to say the least :worried: . I felt ATC decended me too late!! Thats my excuse anyway!

I think they do all the time, so I start off asking for a decrease of altitude in good time instead of waiting for the ATC....

Began that after a few -5, 6 or even 8-degrees descents in order to follow the ATC....

Passengers weren't satisfied with that

So finally brought her back to EGLL, so she is due for a good overhaul.

Lost one engine halfway through the flight, so crossed Europe on tree engines....

Reputation took a hit I presume
