Hello Chaps

Just thought I'd give you my tuppence worth on FSX after playing about with it for a couple of hours.

Rather silly music on the intro (makes you feel you are watching an Indiana Jones movie)

I cannot run it maxxed out on all the sliders on a reasonably powerful PC.

Some of the missions are fun, and it seems relatively easy to install FS9 aircraft into, but you will have to search for the "airplane" folder.

No 2D cockpit, it's 3D all the way from here on.

Other than that it seems fairly straight forward.

Anyone else want to cast their opinions in?

Try F10 for the 2D panel and F9 for the VC!!!

You can also start in 2D by just moving a dot in the settings...I fly everything, including the missions in the 2D cockpit

Interesting. I too prefer 2D over VC...for most aircraft. What settings get updated to allow this?
