FlyNET with Windows Vista

Post by Sl4yer »

Hi folks.

Has anybody successfully run the FlyNET client under Windows Vista Beta 2? All I get is an error saying that the application failed to initialise...

Yes, Release Candidate my arse! :huf:

There are reports of numerous things that worked with the Beta not working on RC1 (and 2 for that matter). AVG antivirus is an example I found.

I struggled to upgrade from B2 to RC1. In fact, it wouldn't work. I eventually installed RC2 on a fresh partition, which was fine. But after booting back to Beta 2, RC2 will no longer boot. It gives the same BSOD as I got during the attempted upgrade. I've not read of the same problem elsewhere either. :dunno:

I expect they'll get it right in the end, but the quick release of RC2 after RC1 suggests they're quite a way off still!

Hi Rick

On the FlyNET forum someone else was asking about FSX and apparently there is an FSX version of FSUIPC

Hopefully this will work for you.
