I wish they'd posted that pic a week earlier.
I've just put out a repaint of it & although it's got a bit of the patchwork look, it doesn't look half as bad as that.
May have to recall it & smash it about a bit more.

I've just worked out what the small writing says at the bottom of the port side of the fin: Proudly supported by BAe systems

I think your right DG, He was flying that one taking pics of the other.. They must have been taking turns a camera man!

Err.. James,
Not wanting to state the obvious but feeling it necessary to do so.. the shot is of an RAF VC10 and rule of thumb is that RAF aircraft have RAF pilots
