As I have posted before, woe betide the controller who tells me to go around.

Hawker Seahawk

Post by hobby »

The Seahawk had the following punch(es)

FMk1 & 2= 4x20mm cannon with 200 rounds per gun

FBMk3 & 5= 4x20mm cannon/2x500lb bombs or mines or unknown number of 3" or 5" RPs or 2x90gal drop tanks.

FGA MK4 & 6= 4x20mm cannon/ up to 20x3" or 5" RPs or 4x500lb bombs or 4x90gal drop tanks. One assumes 4x500lb mines could have been carried in place of bombs.

Note: German Navy Seahawks when fitted with Ecko radar might also have carried up to 3x90 gall drop tanks.

Royal Netherlands Navy F Mk50 also carried 2xSidewinder AAGM

No punch FRU Seahawks had a light fitted in the front of one of the two 90 gall drop tanks.
