'Lizzie' and Viking routes inaugurated

Post by RAF_Quantum »

Hi Guys,

Since yesterday, DaveB has been busy flying two new types to fleet. Firstly the Ambassador (or Lizzie as it's sometimes know) from Heathrow to Dusseldorf and back and then later on in the night he scooted across to Northolt to pick up a Viking and flew Northolt - Birmingham - LeBourget. He was last seen heading for the Champs Elysee riding a dilapidated bicycle wearing a stripey shirt muttering he-haw-he-haw-he-haw and something about deserving a night-stop and enjoying the 'sights' - yea, a likely story! See you back in the UK soon Dave?

Bruised perhaps but crushed, no!!

A quick note on the Heathrow/Northolt connection John.. there isn't one. No hassle as I've frittered away more of my virtual money and bought a Dove to hack around in. Got to get busy flying again as my next acquisition will be either a Dh89 or a Chippie. The Dove is just a little too thirsty to be economical for a 20min non-fare making flight so I guess the Chippie will be next

Onwards and upwards guys. I've not had so much fun with my clothes on (or off for that matter!) for yonks

Hi Dave,

There will be a connection 'twixt Heathrow and Northolt, I just haven't got round to putting it onto the system yet. I've got about 75% of the Viking routes on so far and have spread the order that I've added them so all bases have some flights available. Should have them all on by tomorrow all being well.

Edit: I just checked, as something was niggling me. The link is there already CBF1204/5

Hi John,

Yes indeed. There is a link from LHR to Northolt but not for the Dove. Don't forget I'd just landed the AS57 at LHR and needed to get to EGUW to pick the Viking up  It's not a problem now as being as there IS a link, it is easier (and cheaper) to buy a ticket from one t' t'other

Hi Dave,

Sorry, I misunderstood. The Viking link between Heathrow and Northolt is there as the nearest Vikings for Heathrow flights are based at Northolt. There is now a link for the Dove between Heathrow and Northolt. We'll need some links into Blackbushe to get to the Vikings there, let me know what Dove flights will be most convenient.
