Blimey! The RAF don't hang about, do they? I know the Airshow season is virtually over now, but I thought there would still be the odd venue booked in for the BBMF in October.

Nice to see AA getting the contract!

Well seeing as it's going into deep mantainance, it's going to have to be there for some time. It's better to get to work, than hang about for a couple of small events this month. Saying that, I would have expected it to be at Duxford.

Blimey Tom

It's not always easy to gauge how successful or able an outfit it

But to be entrusted with such a national treasure..well that says it all

Top marks to you guys for the job you do

Hey.....it'll be good practice for the Shackleton

I doubt anyone has the space and engineering capacity at Duxford, particularly the expertise for such a large aeroplane. Up to now the Lanc has been done "in house" so to speak, at St Athan.

Hi James,

If you'd read the information on the link that Tom had posted you'd have seen it was for its "Winter Overhaul". The information is usually there mate, just need to read it.
