Please Mr Moderator, I never wanted to be a Meteor - only a Javelin Mk8/9 will satisfy my demands. If I don't get what I want I will 'Skweem and Skweem and cry, and yes, even stamp my feet.

Quick Quiz. Where in the UK could you have found:

A Meteor, A Chipmunk, PS853(Spit), A Javelin, Hunter (DFCS), A Lightning (AFDS) and several different marques of Canberra?

1 Farthing prize for the last person to get the right answer.

Sorry Toby, your miles off and years away. The airfield doesn't exist today, and you certainly wouldn't have seen DFCS Hunters where you were.
Keep trying, no has won the farthing yet!

Having a complete stab in the dark, either Binbrook, or during a display attended by the Canberra and the Spit, Duxford...

Three cheers to Hot_Charlie. T'was indeed RAF Binbrook. The Canberras were 85 Sqn, Javs 64 Sqn and the spit PS853 was there doing "secret" missile trials with the Lightnings of AFDS.

Your farthing cheque is in the post.

Now please Mr Moderator, can I be a Javelin? You know what will happen if you say no.
