Concorde

Post by Garry Russell »

Just going throught this machine and I came across this old screenie of the FSFrance Concorde

Reheat on and just about to go MACH 1 it does have a sense of power

The model does not look quite right and it seems to handle oddly, but from this angle at least it looks the part

Tks for posting that Garry.

There were numerous upgrades done for this model.. each one improving the FD and other components. It might just be that one of these will give you a better result

Yo Dave

When I am back up an running I will try a later one.

I can't see that the FD problems I had are common......or at least current as more would be more said about it.

I don't know about later visual improvements but this ones wing appears a lttle small and the LE should sweep in a greater curve from a point more forward that in it does.

The wingtips are quite pointed rather that the more curved effect.

Overall the wing appear to be too triangular and the side profile is not convincing enough.......but that could be different now.

Even like this, for anyone wanting a free Concorde it does have the droopy pointy bit one end and the smokey firey bit the other and with a Olympus sound set from perhaps a Vulcan is good enough I think for most

Overall I am not that keen on it. I would like to be and try to be.
Concorde is a favourite type of mine,

But something just doesn't quite light my fire.

Seem to lack ths subletness of twists and curves of the original  :dunno:

Hello mate,

I'm almost certain (but willing to be shot down) that NONE of the later updates were anything to do with the actual shape of the model. They were all either system or FD based. Much scorn from many directions has been thrown at the PSS and the other one (payware that I have but can't remember the name of) as far as shape is concerned so in this respect, the French model is at least as good, or bad as it's more expensive counterparts
