being a ford fanatic also, I would like you remind you that certain vairiants of the ford escort, notably the following:

While it looks good, is there any chance of getting it remade with a proper soundset? To me it kills the "suspension of reality" to have the butchered Beech 350 soundset (which is what that is) that isn't real to ANY aircraft when there are no less than 3 excellent sound sets out there for the RR Dart engines.

Although, I have to say, at least it is a "turboprop" soundset he's using. I watched a video several years ago of one of Tom Gibson's Convairliners that was using the default Cessna soundset... That one *really* made me cringe. Having heard the real thing up close and personal from outside and inside, it was scary.
On the subject of sound - did anyone who tried the FSX demo notice that it now has the capability for different sound sets from varying angles? For an airplane like the Convair 240/340/440 with its augmentor/silencer stacks, this will be great because now we'll hopefully be able to have sounds where in front you only hear th soff purr and clicking of the prop and rockers at idle from the front and the steady rumbling and grumbling of the exhaust from the back.
LOL. Yeah, it'll take some time for people to figure it out correctly, but it's something that a couple guys I know who are into that kind of stuff have been experimenting with in other programs to be able to do, so with FSX now capable, they may bring some of the stuff they did over there into FS and we'll get some superb sound sets.
Erick Cantu was one of those actually and he'd made a version of the Meteor soundset he did that supported such positional variations. Was very smooth when he sent me the compiled sound demo of what it would sound like in FS if you moved through 180 degrees with the sound set. This was almost a year ago too, so you might say he was clarvoiant. :roll:
I think her Chris it would be useful if it could be turned off unless activated by a definitive soundset else it will have problems with everything that exists and I doiubt if all the soundsets woiuld be updeated within the life of the sim.............unless it's the last
