Pity the good lady was with me at Duxford a couple of weeks ago as there were plenty of new issue Tridents and 1-11's to be had.. think I saw the Bristol Freighter too!! Ended up leaving with a Dh89 Rapide at £8.95 which was a bit cheaper than some stalls there so reasonably happy

I tend to let my paypal account build up into a few quid when I sell inconsequential stuff like plumbing text books (!!!) on ebay etc, so the credit card and the present Mrs. Simtrac are not too alarmed. Except when the postie bangs on the door at 7 am - it's "You've been on ebay again haven't you?"

I suppose even approaching 42 there's no real escape from boyhood ... and of course there's nowhere to hide when standing at a stall and there's a DH.89 calling to you!

You've got a ways to go yet simtrac. On my 58th a couple of weeks ago I got models for presents. Even my 'sensible' friends know what to get me.

The only problem is that my eyesight isnt so good as it was - either that or they are printing the instructions in smaller type - and my fingers are not quite so nimble. Still, I reckon that I have enough kits salted away in the loft to keep me sane for a good ten years.
