The BN-2T is on the site but there is no download.

Ian

Edit: I have found PHRPM31.zip dated September 2003 on a CD so there was an earlier version.

You can pick the BN-2T up at Avsim. The file is called "turbine_islander.zip"; well. what else could you call it!

Never knew that was their! Had presumed because no link on his site he had never realeased it! However something makes me wonder if this is a bona fide release? -considering the read-me in this zip and lack of downloadable model from his site.

The version on Avsim is the same as I have stored on a CD but in a different paint scheme. So it is version 3.1. All the others have been upgraded to version 3.2.

Jonbouy,

Does that Lydd scheme fit the new model??

I found myself spending a couple of hours mastering it's odd characteristics today. Full of fuel and with the default payload, it handles more like a flying brick than an aircraft but cutting the fuel down and shaving a ton off the payload see's a totally different model. Throttle response under flaps is the exact opposite to what you'd expect.. nose down on throttle increase.. nose up when backing off but with a little trim, you can squeeze it down into some rather small places and grease the landing t'boot  I've noticed it shaking itself all over the place although this seems to be more noticeable from the outside than the inside  The 2D doesn't look as sharp as the VC (odd) and may not be what one would consider cutting edge but I reckon he's not changed it a great deal if any over the v1 (it doesn't look very developed). Regardless.. if I can find enough paints for it, the model warrants being a keeper. It's SO odd you just have to like it  Wish I felt the same about its smaller brother though

Hi Dave

My 2D is very sharp and a lot sharper then the VC

I wonder if something misfired there

Dunno mate  It's not so much that the 2D is blurred, more that the gauges look sharper in VC. Could well be my eyes!!
