Good to see you again.

What a weekend! I've gotta get me a Vampire!! I'm still grinning from ear to ear :green: Another Classic Brit I can (very luckily) add to the list of 'flown ins'.

I'll post a few pics from the trip from Leuchars to Kemble when Iâ€™ve downloaded the pics.

Yep, I agree, I was at the debut show at Lydd Saturday and was told by the RAF bod on the static 'display' that because of 'world events' there just weren't any 'Display assets' available. As a result the total RAF contingent consisted a lone hawk, another hawk and a tucano in the static park. Then I notice a 9 ship Tornado formation at Leuchars the same day

Oh well, the new regime at EGMD put on a good show for their debut with what they had. The only glitches being the queue at the totally inadequate 'box offices' getting in, and a commentator that wouldn't shut up! He went on to tell us how great Sally B and the two flanking mustang's sounded but you couldn't hear them over his blithering :tuttut:

Otherwise a good effort and on my doorstep being a bonus.

the ONLY reason there is no F3 display this year is COST. it simply is not affordable anymore, since the budget has been chopped, and diverted to Typhoon. Flying 9 at Leuchars was a chore, and some even had tanks fitted, which was not planned, as the some of the original nominated went U/S

you will still see the occasional static F3 but not a display one.

HOWEVER! the good old F3 has now been Extended again, and will be in service way beyond 2013, and 56 Sqn who were due to disband in Jul 07, are now set to be at Leuchars until at least 2011
