S111 routes flown...

Post by petermcleland »

John, in response to your request, my logbook scans as follows:-

Super 111 Routes flown from 4th January 1972 till 24th June 1973

This first set has the dates to show a typical German Tour:-

12-01-72 LHR to Berlin, Berlin to Bremen, Bremen to Berlin.
13-01-72 Berlin to Munich, Munich to Berlin.
14-01-72 Berlin to Hannover, Hannover to Berlin, Berlin to Stuttgart, Stuttgart to Berlin.
15-01-72 Berlin to Frankfurt, Frankfurt to Berlin, Berlin to Hannover, Hannover to Berlin.
15-01-72 Position home from Berlin to LHR as a passenger (with Duty Free bottle!!).

These following show the other Destinations all from Berlin...BTW Berlin means Templehof.

Hamburg
Cologne
Dusseldorf
Sylt

These following show the other services from Heathrow.

LHR to Manchester to Belfast to Manchester to LHR.
LHR to Munich and onto Berlin for 4 day German Tour.
LHR to Bremen and onto Berlin for 4 day German Tour.
LHR to Cologne and onto Berlin for 4 day German Tour.
LHR to Manchester to Amsterdam to Manchester to LHR.
LHR to Manchester (Nightstop) to Dublin to Manchester to Belfast to Manchester (Nightstop) to LHR to Manchester to LHR.

These following are simple out and backs from Heathrow but sometimes twice in a day for a "Double".

Bremen
Manchester

In the year 1972 only, I flew 417 sectors for 384 hours 10 mins.

Hope you can string something together from that lot

Peter: can you remember the routing on the Berlin - Munich Riem sectors - presumably you had to fly the corridor at first?

Chris,

All the routes out of Templehof flew the three corridors (Max 10,000 feet I think)...Also I've a feeling that the Munich airport now is in a different place to how it was then
