Having never heard the Sapphire "in the flesh" that certainly sounds like any Javelin sound clips I've heard.Brian Franklin wrote:I've had a quick play and produced a wav for exterior cruise sound (Sapphire/Jav), let me know if I'm on the right track

I made a sapphire set a couple of years ago, to go with a fix for Mikes Javelin. Managed to get a few extracts from the Pilot's Notes via an ex Air Fighting Dev Squadron pilot; however, most of his emails were too big and much got bounced by my ISP. I just don't have the heart to pester him again, as I felt I was being a nuisance.
Re the Sapphires, I was at Binbrook 62 to 65 when 64 Sqn was there; the pan was next to my office, so the sounds particularly the droning hum on taxi that made my windows go into sympathetic vibration mode are embedded in my brain. From this I made up a set of sounds using semi prof sound editing software. Its a huge package 22 mb, but I could email a few samples to any one who wants to try it.
