aye alright! Some of us have already been in a meeting about "forward planning" for an hour and a half.

You are lucky I didn't call it the "Hawk Outsource to India"

;)

Hi Alex,

All power to ya mate  It must have been daunting posting a first shot here and now that's out of the way, we look forward to more. Onwards and upwards

Btw.. the Ito Gripen doesn't look too bad for shape.. his models are usually pretty good in that department anyway

I prefer the shape on the Ito model. The flight dynamics are a bit naff but more easily "fixed" than on Thinus' model. Thinus has Ito beat in the panel department though, hands down. Inflated control surfaces aside The Ito model is more accurate, and the canards actually move. My only real gripe with Ito's is the weapons loadouts (although I'm sure someone with patience could alpha them out to give a clean loadout option) and the fact that the refuelling probe opens up when you extend the spoilers.

Very rough and ready work in progress. Still some texture duplication on the little "winglets" but I'll try and sort that out when I have time. I want to tidy up the tail and retexture the rest of the airframe so the detail is a bit better. Need some white "QinetiQ" stenciling on the forward fuselage as well.

Sorry if I offended you in any way Alex. Since my repaint was for the Ito model I didn't think anyone would mind and didn't see a problem with it. If you like I'll remove my screenshot and comments.

Accuracy, such a dirty little word. Those little blue winglets are driving me insane but they are duplicated textures that map parts of the tail. :huf:

Thats why I gave up on the model you were working with; it was either a blue spine and canopy or no blue spine at all.

Ohhh the humanity.
