Nice piccie, lovely aircraft!

Can somebody please put me right on something, as I'm sure I read this somewhere! These Tempests were still in use at the point where the RAF changed from Ocean Grey to Dark Sea Grey for upper surface camo, and some of the later ones (probably including this one) would have been finished in the newer colour?

RECORDER

Post by dswanson »

Hi,

Debug - you beat me to it !!.

Actually I've had so much fun chasing myself around North Wales in Tempests, Mosquitos and Sea Vixens that I forgot about the Doodlebug.

I had thought of parking the Tempest at Biggin Hill then starting the Doodlebug recording a few miles south of Biggin Hill. The challenge is to see it coming, scramble and get close enough for a "shot" before it reached London.
Regards,

Degsy
