Hinch, can you recommend some good scenery for the Salzkammergut area? I have also stayed at Zell am See, also St.Gilgen, Fuschl, St. Wolfgang as well as visiting Bad Ischl and Hallstatt - it would be nice to be able to fly round them!

Hi Dave, if you're late onto this thread, Hinch is a new member who's original post contained pics wider than 800px. He was asked and did swap the picture for another one which fitted our spec. In the original post there were some very well done buildings representing the airfield at Gmunden in the Austrian lake district, which is somewhere I have stayed 7 times. Its a very beautiful area and somewhere I'd quite like to fly round if I only I could get some worthwhile scenery for it.

Edit - hereis a picture-map of the region.

A couple of photos of my own:

Hiya Toby..

Yup.. got that from Garry this morning  I did catch it early on and noted the requests to reduce the pic size but skimmed over it after that. Caught your post and wondered if it might be a 'payware' issue

i know of no good scenery for the areas mentioned at all - i however have been busy peicing together now a 5000x5000pixel photoreal area using 3500ft imagery. i also have created a new zell airport using afcad2, but that is far from finished. i too have stayed in st gilgen - i am a qualified ski instructor and spend several weeks in austria each year, this year being just down the road in saalbach and hinterglemm.

it's a shame by default fs completely misses these areas, none of the roads or rivers match my 35m (i think) mesh that does do a good job of matching up to the photos.
